It will be a step up in class in many ways for the 21-year-old Argentine attacker, as he spent last season on loan at Serie B side Lecce.
The financial terms of the deal were not revealed, though it was confirmed that the former Huracan star agreed a contract which binds him to the Artemio Franchi until 2012.
Osvaldo managed eight goals in 31 appearances for Lecce last season, but was on track for considerably more before having his starting spot taken away from him when Giuseppe Papadopulo took over the reigns from Zdenek Zeman.
With the likes of Pazzini, Mutu, Vieri and Lupoli already in the attack, Osvaldo will have to fight even harder to get anything approaching consistent playing time this season, even just as a regular sub. |
